Visualizer video resolution: 720p and 1080p
Choose a resolution for a visualizer video and compare preview and MP4 at the same size, time and settings.
Choose export resolution for the size at which people will watch the video and the detail in your background. A higher setting cannot fix tiny text, a poor composition or a low-resolution source image.
Separate frame shape from pixel dimensions
Aspect ratio determines the shape of the video. Resolution determines how many pixels form that frame. For landscape 16:9, 720p commonly means 1280×720 and 1080p means 1920×1080. Check the dimensions shown in the editor for portrait or square output instead of assuming that a resolution label always describes the width.
Compare two short exports
In the Editor, keep the background, visualizer and audio excerpt unchanged. Save one version at 720p and one at 1080p. View both at the same display size, paying attention to text and thin lines. Enlarging only one file makes the comparison misleading.
A small promotional video may look adequate at 720p. Detailed backgrounds or larger viewing sizes can justify trying 1080p. The uploaded version may also look different after a platform processes it, so check the final viewing destination when it matters.
Include processing effort in the decision
A higher resolution means more pixels to process. Export time and file size also depend on duration, imagery, device and browser; do not expect a fixed multiplier. Start with a short test before exporting a long section.
If the background is blurry, the text is too small or the visualizer blends into its surroundings, correct those causes first. Resolution cannot recover detail that was absent from the source.
Judge the saved MP4
Play the beginning, middle and end. Check that sound and video are present and essential text is readable. Use the current plan information and the editor's available settings for output limits. Choose the setting whose visible improvement helps your actual use case.
Compare the preview and export under the same conditions
The preview is scaled to fit the editor. A saved video opened at a larger size may therefore look different. Pause both at the same moment and compare at the same display size.
- Only the background is blurred: open the original artwork at the same size and check its detail.
- Text or lines look rough only when enlarged: check export resolution and playback zoom.
- Placement or aspect ratio differs: check the exported range and OUTPUT ratio.
- Motion seems different: make sure you are comparing the same few seconds.
For a 720p/1080p comparison, keep source media, range, background and visualizer settings identical. Changing colours and styles too makes the resolution comparison less useful. Use resolutions available under the plan shown in the editor.
