Creating visualizer videos without uploading audio

Understand browser-local visualizer creation: source-media processing, account communication and where the finished MP4 is saved.

For an unreleased track or narration, whether an editing tool uploads source media can affect your choice. Sonoray processes selected media in the browser and creates the MP4 on the device.

Distinguish media handling from account services

Selecting audio or a background image is separate from signing in. Sonoray is not designed to upload and retain user audio, filenames, background images, rendered frames or exported MP4s on its server.

Website access, accounts, payments and saved settings still involve their own necessary communications. “Source media is not uploaded” does not mean “no network communication” or guarantee the security of the entire device. See the privacy policy for details.

Work with local files

Open the Editor and choose your audio and background from the device. The Free Editor needs no registration. Preview a short passage, then save an MP4 on a supported computer.

Remember that screen sharing can reveal whatever is visible in the editor. Local processing does not make displayed material invisible to the people watching your screen.

Check the destination of the saved file

Manage the finished MP4 in the browser's download location. If that folder synchronizes with another service, files may be synchronized through a route separate from Sonoray's media processing. Review your own storage and sharing setup before distributing the result.

Where each step happens

  • Select audio: the browser reads a file from your device.
  • Edit the visualizer: the selected sound drives rendering on your device.
  • Export MP4: the video is generated locally and downloaded to the browser's destination.
  • Reuse settings: this is separate from storing media. Select audio and artwork again after a full reload.

This describes user media processed in the public Editor. It does not eliminate the communications needed to load the website or sign in.

Confirm the output before closing the session

Do not close the page assuming that your source has been stored in the cloud. Save the required MP4 and open it to verify playback. Pro presets reuse settings; they do not provide media storage.

Browser-local processing is a concrete way to reduce the services receiving source media. Deciding where to publish or share the completed video remains a separate step.
